In order to use the software, you must first Register by completing a simple form on our website. If an account has been created for you by AtoBviaC then this step is not required.
The registration process will send a message to the eMail address you specify which will include a link which you must click on to acknowledge receipt of the message and activate your account.
Once your account account has been activated, you may login using the Access Key provided during the registration process.
Your account is initially activated in a 'Trial' mode. You are limited to calculating distances between just six ports.
The 'Trial' mode restriction is removed when you purchase a full subscription.
The application uses the Microsoft fluent ribbon interface, similar in style to Microsoft Office 2007/2010 applications. It is designed to help you quickly find the commands that you need to complete a task. Commands are organised into logical groups, which are collected together under tabs. Each tab relates to a type of activity.
Distances are calculated by entering the relevant port names and adding them to a voyage. Distances can be calculated automatically as each port is added, or you can wait until the list is complete before calculating the distance.
Routing options can be controlled between each pair of ports by enabling or disabling the use of a Routing Points.
Routes can be scanned against Emission Control Areas to provide distances within those areas and any combination of Loadline, Marpol or the Indian Ocean Piracy Zone.
A number of System Options allow you to customise the software to suit your preferences.
